Domaine Comte de Chapelle (Jean-Maire Fourrier) Description
From the 2022 Vintage, Jean-Marie Fourrier has been given 7.5ha from the Domaine Comte de Chapelle. Jean-Marie, with his team, has undertaken the farming of the vineyards, winemaking and bottling. Jean-Marie's efforts cover the prodcution from vineyard to the finished bottle. With the arrival of Jean-Maire's son, Louis, this extension is giving and exciting and stable future to Domaine Fourrier.
Winemaking: All the wines are vinified in Gevrey-Chambertin, the range of white wines are made in the historical fermenting room while the reds are made at Domaine Fourrier. The winemaking philosophy remains the same as Domaine Fourrier with 20% whole clusters during fermentation, a maximum of 20% new oak, bottling without any filtration to preserve the identity of each terroir.
The Bourgogne is a single parcel of 1.89ha that was planted in 1963. Vines are located between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.
