Vinous: 92-94 Points
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Les Champeaux contains up to 30% whole bunch. Pretty and quite transparent on the nose, this exudes the essence of Pinoté, subtle pressed flower scents emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, not powerful but understated with an elegant and persistent finish. Excellent.
Burghound: 90-92 Points
Cool and airy aromas include those of essence of red currant, spice, a hint of the sauvage and a green tea top note. The sleek, detailed and intensely mineral-suffused medium-bodied flavors also conclude in a lightly austere, firm and lingering finish. This could use better depth though more should reasonably develop.
