Famille Baudry Description
This Sancerre is a blend of our three villages, Sainte Gemme, Sur yen Vaux and Verdigny. After harvest, the grapes from each village are fermented separately before blending. All fermentations start spontaneously, but neutral yeasts are added if they are needed. The soils from the villages vary from clay to limestone, or “Caillottes,” which gives Sancerre fruity with citrus aromas—even exotic fruits according to the vintage.
