St Innocent Winery Description
Freedom Hill Vineyard is located in the foothills of the Coast Range, 10 miles SW of Salem, Oregon. During the day warm air rises from the valley floor ripening the skins. At night, cool ocean breezes act to retain acidity. Planted on old sedimentary soils, the vines have a SW exposur. Our Pinot noir comes from two blocks, one planted in 2004 with Pommard and Wädenswil and one planted in 2008 with 777.
Wine Pairing: Richly flavored entrees like hearty pasta dishes, steak, chops and chocolate match well with this dark-red fruited, earthy nuanced and solidly structured Pinot Noir.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard seduces with a sweetly scented bouquet of dusty violets, lavender, dried black cherries and baking spice. Dark red and blue fruits swirl across a core of cooling acidity as this displays textures of pure silk, coming across as elegant and refined throughout. The 2019 continues to captivate through the finish, closing with a coating of sweet tannins and an air of blue and purple-toned florals that lingers on and on. In a word, superb.
