Renato Corino Description
After his father’s estate was divided, Renato established his own estate in the Arborina area in 2005. The vineyards stand in the prized La Morra crus of Rocche dell’Annunziata, Arborina and Pozzo. The estate is now run by Renato together with his son Stefano. Renato is a perfectionist in the vineyards: no chemical products are sprayed, only copper and sulphur is used, grass is left on the aisles between the rows of vines and then it is tilled into the soil in the winter, which means that no herbicides nor fertilizers are used either.
Tasting Note: Scents of black cherries, cinnamon, and wet herbs. It is a bright and clean wine, with a fresh acidity reminiscent of ripe raspberries and mandarins. The brief passage in oak creates a slightly softened and balanced texture.

The 2020 Barbera d'Alba is another stellar entry-level wine from Renato Corino. Inky, fleshy and explosive, the 2020 delivers serious flavor intensity and tons of character.
The Corino Barbera is a total pleasure bomb in 2020.
