The 2009 Annonciade, Bara's top cuvée, is vinified and aged entirely in oak. Sumptuous and radiant in the glass, the Annonciade is positively stellar. All the radiance of the 2009 vintage is dialed up, yet this retains terrific freshness. In this tasting, it comes across as quite young. The stylistic imprint of oak is strong, but the 2009 is exquisite in its balance. I loved it.
