The 2019 Barbaresco Martinenga is bright and punchy. Sweet cherry, dried flowers, orange peel, mint and cinnamon are nicely lifted throughout. There's terrific purity to the red-toned Nebbiolo fruit. Give this mid-weight Barbaresco a few years to soften the somewhat nervy angular contours that are present today.
