Domaine la Roubine Description
The story begins in 1990 when Eric Ughetto took over the family vineyards located in Gigondas. He was joined by Sophie in the late 90s and the two of them decided to make wine with their own grapes. The Area "La Roubine" was created in 2000 with its first vintage. Today the company is still a family run business; Eric works at the wine cellar, while Sophie manages both the cellar and the business. The couple also work together in the vineyards.
The Sablet Blanc is produced from "Le Gravillas" area on a sandy-clay soil, the grapes are selected from the best blocks and carefully hand-picked in small boxes.
Tasting Note: The wine shows aromas of exotic fruit, notes of citrus and an ample and long finish.
Wine Pairing: Ideally with fish or cheese.
