Domaine Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot Description
Sourced from a mixture of 9 different Lieu Dit with vines averaging 50yrs+ of age
Vinous: 89-91 Points
The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Village, which sees no new oak, is initially quite backward, opening with red fruit laced with wild mint and loam. Just very...Savigny. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a keen thread of acidity. It is very harmonious and, for want of a better, what appears to be a "stylish" Savigny in the making.
Burghound: 88 Points
This is also aromatically quite pretty with its spicier and more deeply pitched array of poached plum, violet and humus scents. The succulent, round and seductively textured middleweight flavors exhibit a subtle minerality on the lightly austere and firm finish where a raspiness slowly emerges.
