The altitude of the vineyard is in evidence as the ripe but cool aromas speak of violet, black cherry and wet stone. The markedly more mineral-driven medium weight flavors possess good detail on the chalky, youthfully austere and impressively persistent finale. Like the Clos du Roi though, this too needs better depth.
