A more deeply pitched and markedly earthier nose reveals notes of both red and dark currant along with a hint of the sauvage. The rich, velvety and caressing medium weight flavors are almost easy-going and delicate on the delicious and lightly structured finale. This delicious effort is definitely not a classic Nuits but it's attractive all the same.

The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Village has a tertiary, slightly mulchy bouquet that unfolds in the glass and gains delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, very fresh, a little attenuation towards the finish but it should give several years of drinking pleasure.
