Coppo - Barolo 2019 (750ml)
Coppo Description
Today, the major part of the winery’s production centers on Barbera, Metodo Classico sparkling wines, Chardonnay and Coppo’s Moncalvina Moscato, which from the 2023 harvest features the new Canelli DOCG on its label, highlighting the excellence of the Moscato grapes produced in this area. The winery’s range of products includes some of the most classic DOCG Piedmontese wines, including Gavi and Barolo. Because of their historical importance, Coppo has the right and honor to make the prestigious Barolo outside of its zone of production. Their history, Piedmontese pride, and pursuit of elegance are the distinctive emblems of the Coppo family in each of their labels.
Tasting Note: intense garnet, notes of violet, cherries and liquorice aromas. Well balanced and elegant.
Wine Pairings: baked beef shank, braised veal cut, baked lamb with potatoes
Vinous: 90 Points
The 2019 Barolo (White Label) is redolent of dark cherry, lavender, herbs, spice and tobacco. Medium in body and pliant, with good balance, the 2019 should drink well for another handful of years. It is nicely put together
