Clos Henri Description
Named after the ancient glaciation period that formed this exceptional terroir, Otira is the purest expression of its site. Following the French tradition, our vineyard is planted in high density Dry farming and organic practices also allows us to ensure natural vine balance is achieved by stressing the vines just to the right level. This forces the roots to go deeper in the soil. obtaining the purest expression of our terroir and showing more minerality from the stone soils.
Named after the Otiran Glaciation period that formed our Glacial River Stones terroir, Otira expresses a crisp minerality not unlike the glacier itself. Coupled with a sophisticated finesse that takes you on a journey of the senses, it's a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc like no other.
Wine Pairing: Serve with Fresh oysters, pan-fried snapper and asparagus.

The 2023 Otira Glacial Stones Sauvignon Blanc is texturally sophisticated, pure and energetic, with back-palate-weighted spices, chalky phenolics and white-scale fruits. This is a restrained, long and persistent wine, and once again, I do love it. This comes highly recommended.
