We are back with our first offer

Once again, it's time to get the futures started. This is a small offering, two Barsacs from Doisy Daene, and two dry wines from Larrivet Haut Brion. Here are some notes on the dry wines:

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate rates the blanc as 91-93 points with the follwoing notes:

Aromas of spices, lemon oil, lime tree, verbena, exotic, menthol and iodine introduce the 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, seamless and sapid wine with a succulent core of fruit and a penetrating, fresh and saline finish. This blend of 86% Sauvignon Blanc and 14% Sémillon, maturing in 70% new oak and 30% wood tank or foudres, is a strong effort. $53.87

The red Larrivet Haut-Brion is also a success with a score of 92-94 and the following review:

The 2022 Larrivet Haut-Brion offers up aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry, violet, orange zest, iris and ripe plums, followed by a medium to full-bodied palate that's supple, seamless and elegant, its succulent core of fruit framed by velvety tannins, concluding with a floral finish. A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc—the most significant portion of this grape variety ever used at this estate run by Bruno Lemoine—this is one of the most interesting wines that this estate has produced in recent years. It matured in 15% amphorae, 50% new barrels and the balance in tanks. $42.01
